Emmy nominee, Jon Goode hails from Richmond, Virginia but currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Jon has been blessed to be a repeat featured act on Russell Simmons' HBO Def Poetry Jam and to have his highly acclaimed work published in print ads by Nike and in several magazines and periodicals nationwide. His work has also been featured in radio commercials for McDonalds and in television commercials and interstitials for TVLand/Nick @ Nite. As a national award winning performance poet, Jon has been privileged to share the stage with Jamie Foxx, Mos Def, Kanye West, Tommy and many other talented poets, comedians and performers. Jon represents a refreshing change-up to traditional performance poetry, and has established himself as one of the most influential and positive voices in the African American community.
